Cotton Candy Sunset

This gorgeous sky lasted only a few minutes at sunset last night over Estes Park. It looks like cotton candy. The colors would make a beautiful pallette for a quilt.

Snow Day, at Last!

Estes Park is getting some much appreciated snow today. I'm cozy inside by the fire in my flannel bathrobe. My plans for today include reading, sewing, and sipping tea. Chicken soup is on our dinner menu.

This would also be a good day to venture into Rocky Mountain National Park to see the winter beauty. Alas, our federal government has shut itself down so there are currently no services operating in our national parks. Below is an image of Rocky's Facebook post today.
